The Cyber Security Operations Center of Genoa has successfully concluded an operation targeting online child sexual abuse and exploitation across the Ligurian region. This operation, was made possible through the technology provided by Child Rescue Coalition, resulted in the arrest of four individuals and the reporting of a fifth suspect, on various charges related to the production, distribution, and possession of child sexual abuse material.

The operation began with the National Center for the Contrast of Online Child Pornography (CNCPO) and was aided by the collaboration with CRC.

Search warrants issued by the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Genoa, and executed by the Cyber Security Operations Center, along with the support of provincial police from Imperia, Savona, and La Spezia, led to the discovery of sexual abuse material on the suspects’ devices.

The suspects, include two IT professionals, an employee and two pensioners, all are aged between 48 and 69.
