UK child abuser found guilty at Crown Court
- August 11, 2021
A man in England was given a 12 month prison sentence and added to the sex offenders register following law enforcement utilization of CRC Technology.
Despite his defense claiming he wasn’t looking for child sexual abuse material John Blount was found guilty by the Crown Court of Manchester.
Blount’s claim that he was looking for adult pornography did not satisfy the court.
COO Glen Pounder said: “Given the extremely graphic and highly disturbing names of the child sexual abuse files which our system helps identify – often descriptions of very young children or toddlers – then I find it impossible to believe that anyone could “stumble” upon them while supposedly looking for adult pornography in deep web networks.
Thankfully law enforcement were able to mount a successful prosecution and another child abuser will have a criminal record of his dangerous sexual interest in children for the rest of his life.”
As well as the professional prosecuting team we also commend the trial Judge who described how criminals consuming child sexual abuse material create the market for these offenses against children: She said:
“Lest you delude yourself that you are not a child abuser, but let me disabuse you: you are.
“These are real children being abused and if there was not a market for this type of material in people like you, they would not be abused.”
