North Carolina ICAC and Davidson County Host CRC Technology Training
- August 1, 2025
From July 29 to August 1, the North Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force partnered with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office to host a CRC Technology Training in Lexington, NC.
Nineteen investigators from Sheriff’s Departments in Davidson, Rockingham, Randolph, Alamance, Brunswick, and New Hanover Counties, as well as the Sylvia, Mooresville, and Gastonia Police Departments, participated.
The course was led by NC ICAC Commander Kevin Roughton and SBI Investigator Scott Bassett, along with instructor, Kevin West, and Child Rescue Coalition’s Director of Training, Jay Houston.
Special guest K9 Josie, an Electronic Storage Detection dog from the Mooresville Police Department, attended with her handler, Officer Brandon Styers.
This training furthers Child Rescue Coalition’s mission to provide investigators worldwide with CRC Technology (for free) and the essential skills to fight internet crimes against children.
Because of supporters like you, investigators from across North Carolina gathered in Davidson County to receive hands-on training in using CRC Technology to identify and arrest online predators. Your donation helps us continue offering this vital training (at no cost) to those working to protect children. Make an even greater impact and join the Coalition Club and help safeguard children every single day.
