Man Arrested in Brazil for Possession and Sharing of CSAM with Help of CRC Technology

  • September 22, 2025

The Federal Police in Fortaleza, Brazil, arrested a man on August 14, 2025 for storing and sharing more than 400 files of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) over the past year. The arrest was part of Operation Protected Innocence XII.

The suspect was caught in the act after police executed a search warrant at his home. Though investigators initially couldn’t confirm who was responsible for the illicit activity, a device found at the scene contained illegal content, leading one of the residents to confess.

CRC Technology played a crucial role in helping law enforcement identify the predator by providing information which helped guide law enforcement to the suspect’s residence.

The man is now facing charges for both possession and distribution of CSAM which are crimes that carry a combined sentence of over 10 years in prison.

Every day, law enforcement officers use Child Rescue Coalition technology to track down predators and protect innocent children. But they can’t do it alone.
