CRC Technology Fueled Arrest: Cave Creek, AZ Man Charged with Child Exploitation

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office reported a Cave Creek, AZ man was arrested after authorities found him in possession of more than 100 files of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Cecilio Castroacosta, 50, faces 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. Investigators with the Sheriff’s cybercrimes unit, with assistance from CRC Technology, linked his computer’s IP address to the CSAM.

A search warrant executed at his home uncovered a laptop and external hard drive containing eight videos and 106 images of CSAM. Castroacosta admitted to using a peer-to-peer file-sharing program to access and distribute the material but claimed he did not store the files.
