- April 3, 2025
March 5, 2025 – The State Police, following a joint investigation into child sexual abuse material, executed seven searches that led to the arrest of four individuals and the reporting of three others. The investigation, supported by the Cyber Security Operations Center for Tuscany and the National Center for the Contrast to Online Child Pornography (CNCPO) of the Postal Police and Cyber Security Service, was aided by CRC Technology.
Over several months, investigators monitored the activities of seven men, aged between 30 and 70, who were continuously downloading and sharing child sexual abuse material. The suspects, who resided in Pisa, Livorno, Pistoia, and Prato, were tracked through both traditional investigative techniques and the advanced capabilities of CRC Technology.
During the search, tens of thousands of files containing child sexual abuse material were discovered, some of which had been meticulously categorized, further revealing the suspects’ obsessive dedication to possessing and disseminating such horrific content.
