Where do I deliver my care packages?
The U.S. has dedicated law enforcement combatting child sexual abuse in every state. These Internet Crimes against Children (ICAC) Task Force Units are a national network of 61 coordinated task forces representing over 4,500 federal, state, and local law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies. They may provide the ideal home for your completed care packages as they are the officers who encounter child victims in these tragic cases. To locate your local ICAC Unit, please visit: www.icactaskforce.org/Pages/ContactsTaskForce.aspx
If you live far from your state’s ICAC, please contact your closest police department or sheriff’s office to donate these care packages. Any law enforcement officer who has a patrol responsibility will benefit from having these comforting packages in their vehicles to help children.
Box up your completed care packages and have our CRC folder for law enforcement ready for delivery.
How exactly do I contact them?
You can reach out to your state’s ICAC office or local law enforcement agency by email or phone. Ask to speak with the department that oversees community relations or donations. We’ve put together this guide to help:
Hello, My name is {name} and I’m a resident of {city}. I participated in Child Rescue Coalition’s volunteer program and created care packages that I’d like to donate to your agency. Each care package has a blanket and teddy bear and can be given to children at the scene of a crime. Child Rescue Coalition has donated over 4,000 of these care packages to law enforcement agencies and rape crisis centers across the country. I have {x} care packages available. What is the best way to get these to you? The CRC team can be reached at [email protected] or if any of this information needs to be verified.
