Waskom Man Accused of Possessing Hundreds of Child Sexual Abuse Material, CRC Technology Aids Investigation
- February 4, 2025
Shawn Brian Clay, 41, was arrested and taken into custody at the Panola County Jail. He faces a first-degree felony charge of possession or promotion of child sexual abuse material after a search warrant was executed at his home.
The Panola County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Louisiana State Police in January about an ongoing investigation into child sexual abuse material linked to Clay. Working alongside the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, PCSO investigators employed CRC Technology, which played a key role in locating Clay and carrying out the search warrant at his residence. During the search, authorities found multiple electronic devices containing hundreds of images of child sexual abuse material, which were seized for forensic analysis.
Clay was arrested at the sheriff’s office, and all evidence collected will be forwarded to the criminal district attorney’s office for further investigation, according to the sheriff’s office.
