Suspects face 10-year sentence after search warrants

Law enforcement officers have used CRC Technology in order to identify suspects in connection with child sexual abuse.


The inquiry started when officers discovered the suspect criminals had been trading child sexual abuse material (CSAM) involving images and videos of very young children.


The Federal Police obtained 5 search warrants and secured evidence in connection with their investigations.


If convicted in relation to the possession and distribution of CSAM the suspects face a 10 year prison sentence.


Officers connected to the case confirmed that it was their priority to combat child sexual abuse with a view to identifying vulnerable victims and arresting abusers.
