Operation “Potest Abuser” Results in Another Successful Arrest

  • March 12, 2024

CRC Technology aided Brazil Federal Police in the identification of a man suspected of downloading and sharing child sexual abuse material during Operation “Potest Abuser.” During the search at the suspect’s residence in Nilópolis, Brazil, investigators found child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on the suspect’s computer, which resulted in the arrest.

Operation “Potest Abuser” means “possible abuser” and aims to investigate the practice of the crimes of the possession and distribution of CSAM, as the suspects who store and share CSAM will possibly later commit hands-on abuse of children.

We’re proud of our law enforcement colleagues for taking bold steps to fight child sexual abuse and exploitation — and we’re honored that our technology aids in the identification of these dangerous criminals.
