In late 2021 and early 2022, Surrey RCMP’s Internet Child Exploitation Team in Canada led an investigation against 30-year-old, Tanner Adam Duffy, after receiving a report about two Facebook accounts believed to be sharing explicit content. In their investigation, two teenage victims were identified. Duffy had been using the FB accounts to communicate with the girls. Duffy has been charged with four counts of luring a child under age 16 and three counts of possessing child sexual abuse material. He has also been charged with one count each of sexual interference, sexual assault, assault, forcible confinement and making sexually explicit material available to a child under age 16.
