International Collaboration Leads to Arrest in Livestreamed Child Abuse Case

  • December 5, 2025

A 78-year-old man from Rotterdam has been arrested for allegedly paying to watch and direct the live-streamed sexual abuse of children in the Philippines. The arrest followed an international investigation into online child sexual exploitation.

Philippine authorities arrested the female facilitator and rescued four children from ongoing abuse. Investigators also uncovered evidence that the suspect traveled to the Philippines to further exploit children. This case is part of the Philippine Internet Crimes Against Children (PICACC) task force, an international partnership involving law enforcement agencies from multiple countries and nonprofit organizations.

The suspect was identified during a broader live-streaming investigation supported by CRC Technology which helps law enforcement identify and arrest predators involved in online child sexual abuse material and live-streamed exploitation. Digital evidence seized from the suspect revealed extensive communication with a facilitator in the Philippines, including payments for abuse.
