A major CSAM operation, codenamed “Fat Man,” has led to the arrest of six men (ages 50–70) and the seizure of hundreds of digital devices in Rome, Latina, and Livorno. The action was coordinated by the Rome Prosecutor’s Office, the Operational Center for Cyber Security of Lazio, and the National Center for Online Child Pornography.

The suspects were caught sharing and downloading thousands of illegal files using peer-to-peer platforms. CRC Technology played a critical role in identification and arrest of the suspects. The raid resulted in the seizure of computers, hard drives, USBs, and other storage media containing child sexual abuse material.

The operation highlights the importance of CRC Technology and inter-agency collaboration in combating online exploitation. Authorities stress the need for public vigilance and continued investment in cybercrime prevention tools.
