CRC Technology Plays Key Role in Exposing CSAM Linked to Former Palo Verde Officer

  • February 16, 2018

On February 16, 2018, Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced that Ricardo Andres Talamante, a former security officer at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, pleaded guilty to two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.

In 2016, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit, with help from CRC Technology, traced child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to Talamante. A search of his laptop uncovered disturbing videos of children, ages 3 to 12, being abused by adults. Talamante, a former U.S. military reserve sergeant, now faces 12 to 20 years in prison and lifetime probation. Sentencing is scheduled for April 6, 2018.
