As part of an ongoing investigation, officers from the Cyber Security Operations Center of the Catania Postal Police—working in coordination with the Catania Public Prosecutor’s Office—have identified eight individuals involved in the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material. Three of the suspects, aged between 40 and 60 and residing in the provinces of Catania, Ragusa, and Syracuse, have been arrested and taken into custody.

A pivotal role in the identification of the suspects was played by CRC Technology. The operation originated from intelligence provided by the National Center for the Fight Against Online Child Pornography (CNCPO), a specialized unit within the Italian Postal Police Service.
