CRC Technology Helps Locate Most Wanted Child Exploitation Suspect in Vietnam
- October 30, 2020
Wade Astle, 46, a fugitive on Maricopa County’s (AZ) Most Wanted list, was arrested in Vietnam after years on the run, thanks in part to CRC Technology.
Astle was indicted in 2018 on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. He was located after visiting the U.S. Embassy in Ho Chi Minh City, where staff recognized him as a wanted fugitive. The Vietnamese government, in cooperation with the U.S. Marshals Service, arrested him on October 20.
CRC Technology helped investigators identify Astle’s online activity and confirm his identity. Authorities believe he may have also traveled to Thailand and Costa Rica between 2017 and 2020.
CRC Technology provides the most comprehensive view of where child predators around the world are downloading and sharing explicit content online.
CRC Technology played a critical role in identifying and bringing Wade Astle to justice — even across international borders. Be a part of the solution!
