A former Palm Beach County School District employee, Norman Riemer, has been accused of molesting two six-year-old girls. Investigators now believe he may have had access to more children than initially realized. Riemer frequently chaperoned school science fair trips, including an overnight trip just six weeks ago. The case highlights broader concerns about patterns of abuse and the critical need for early and open conversations. Greg Schiller, CEO of CRC commented, “one of the truest things we know is that predators typically don’t just have one victim or two victims or five victims but they have dozens of victims in person and online.” Further, Schiller highlighted why conversations about body safety are essential, even if they’re uncomfortable.
