Child Rescue adds to the Coalition
- July 23, 2021
With the support of the UK Border Force and the British Embassy in the Dominican Republic, expert CRC instructors Kevin West and Jay Houston delivered a 5 day training course to officers from 6 countries.
The officers, who are current CRC technology users, from Paraguay, Panama, Colombia, Costa Rica and Ecuador joined their Dominican Republic colleagues to be trained as Instructors. This accreditation enables them to return to their home countries and in turn train more law enforcement officers to track and arrest those with an illegal sexual interest in children.
We are so humbled and appreciative of the support of First Lady, Raquel Arbaje, who is helping to give a voice to those who can’t speak for themselves.
The First Lady attended and spoke of her support at the opening ceremony along with the Dominican Republic Attorney General, the UK Ambassador, a Director of UK Border Force and Child Rescue Coalition COO Glen Pounder .
This highlights the level of senior support in combatting this crime and is sending a message that chid sexual abuse will not be tolerated.
