Indiana State Police Utilize Child Rescue Coalition Tech To Identify Shelbyville, Indiana Man in Child Exploitation Case

A Shelbyville man was arrested after a month-long investigation into child sexual abuse material (CSAM) – an arrest made possible with CRC Technology.
Dustin Deaton, 39, was identified using CRC Technology with the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit and the Indiana ICAC Task Force leading the investigation.
Deaton is charged with:
- Distribution of CSAM (victim under 12 – Level 4 Felony)
- Possession of CSAM (victim under 12 – Level 5 Felony)
Sgt. Perrine urged victims or anyone with information to come forward: “If your child may have been affected, please contact us. You’re not alone, and we’re here to help.”
