A Greenacres, Florida man was arrested after allegedly trying to meet a 13-year-old girl for sex who turned out to be an undercover Boynton Beach police officer.

Robin Blanchard, 45, was taken into custody at the Inn at Boynton Beach, just two days after making contact through the app Kik.

“This is happening every day,” said Child Rescue Coalition CEO, Greg Schiller. “Predators are everywhere—wherever kids are online, they are too.”

Schiller urges parents to talk openly with their children about online dangers like grooming and sextortion.

Blanchard faces five felony charges. His bond is set at $40,000.
