CRC Technology Aids in Arrest of Daycare Worker in Germany

  • March 25, 2026

A daycare provider in Germany’s Rems-Murr district has been formally charged with aggravated child sexual abuse, as well as the production and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The individual has remained in pre-trial detention since their arrest in October 2025.

According to investigators, the accused worked as a daycare provider for over 12 years, during which time he cared for at least 35 children in his home. Authorities have confirmed that between 2020 and his arrest, he sexually abused at least eight children between the ages of 0 and 12. In total, 41 cases of abuse have been documented.

The suspect is also accused of recording sexual acts involving children in two instances and of producing and making child sexual abuse material available to others online.

The investigation originated from Bavarian law enforcement efforts targeting an online network. Child Rescue Coalition technology was instrumental in supporting investigators, helping to identify and locate the suspect, ultimately leading to his arrest.

During the 12 years in which the suspect operated as a daycare provider, there were two reported concerns, both of which were reviewed and resolved at the time. Upon learning of the investigation, local authorities immediately revoked his childcare license, prohibiting him from continuing to care for children. Parents of affected children were promptly informed.

We are honored to support and collaborate with law enforcement in Germany as they work to protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation.

This case shows how serious child exploitation is and the importance of technology and global teamwork in catching offenders and protecting children. Learn more about how you can help Child Rescue Coalition make an impact.
