Lyon, France — Child Rescue Coalition announced the successful completion of Operation Mariposa, its first-ever international enforcement sprint using CRC Technology to identify and disrupt online child offenders across the globe. The three-day operation brought together 28 investigators representing nine countries, marking a groundbreaking moment in international child protection.
Hosted in Lyon, France, Operation Mariposa demonstrated the extraordinary impact of global coordination and advanced technology.
- Day One uncovered more than 100 online child offenders, with agencies immediately launching cross-border investigations.
- Day Two expanded to nearly 300 offenders under investigation, including a significant case where teams from two different countries jointly identified an offender active in both countries.
- By Day Three, the sprint concluded with 562 suspected child offenders identified, all now under investigation by participating law enforcement agencies.
This first-of-its-kind initiative showcased the real-time power of CRC Technology when paired with strong international partnerships and the dedication of child protection professionals.
“Our mission has always been to protect children globally, and Operation Mariposa is a powerful example of what’s possible when technology, collaboration, and determination come together,” said Greg Schiller, Esq., CEO of Child Rescue Coalition. “In just three days, investigators were able to identify hundreds of dangerous offenders who were actively seeking to harm children. This is life-changing work, and we are profoundly grateful to every agency and partner who made it possible and because of this united effort, children around the world are safer today.”.
The operation was made possible through collaboration with global partners including the Tim Tebow Foundation, INTERPOL, MSAB, Childlight – Global Child Safety Institute, and Oscar Kilo UK. Together, these organizations reinforced a shared commitment to protecting children and equipping law enforcement with the tools needed to hold offenders accountable.
