Child Rescue Coalition CEO Greg Schiller Responds to Shocking Child Exploitation Case Tied to Extremist Network

  • September 9, 2025

A Downey, California man, Dong Hwan Kim has been indicted for exploiting minors online and is connected to a violent extremist group known as “764.” According to the FBI, he targeted young girls through social media, coercing them into sending explicit content by threatening to expose them if they didn’t comply.

The 764 Network is a nihilistic violent extremist (NVE) group that seeks to harm society by targeting and exploiting vulnerable populations, especially children.

This network operates under a chilling ideology that encourages:

  • Child sexual abuse and exploitation
  • Animal cruelty
  • Self-harm and suicide
  • Radical violence and coercion

What makes this network especially dangerous is its use of social media and gaming apps to find and target victims. Predators gain the trust of minors and other vulnerable individuals, then manipulate them into engaging in harmful or illegal behavior.

Federal agents found explicit material in Kim’s possession, and believe there may be other victims.

Greg Schiller, CEO of Child Rescue Coalition, spoke to FOX 11 about the case, saying: “This is a tragic reminder of how predators operate in hidden corners of the internet. Child Rescue Coalition is here to support law enforcement, protect children, and ensure victims are not alone.

Report child sexual exploitation online at CyberTipline.org.

Anyone who may have been victimized or is aware of a victim is urged to contact the FBI at 1 800 CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324).
