CRC Technology Assists in Operation Purge Against Online Child Predators

  • June 27, 2025

On Friday, June 27, the Special Action Group to Combat Criminal Organizations (GAECO) launched Operation Purge, targeting individuals involved in the storage and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) online. The operation was carried out in partnership with multiple prosecutor’s offices across Santa Catarina and São Paulo, Brazil.

Ten search and seizure warrants were executed in the cities of Camboriú, Brusque, Indaial, Timbó, Joinville, and Ubatuba. The warrants were authorized by regional courts following requests from the Public Ministry of Santa Catarina (MPSC).

A key factor in the operation’s success was the support of CRC Technology, which helps law enforcement identify, arrest and, prosecute predators, resulting in four arrests.

The operation was led by CyberGAECO and supported by state GAECO units, the Scientific Police of Santa Catarina, Federal Police, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the U.S. Embassy, highlighting the power of international and interagency collaboration.

Thanks to CRC Technology, four online predators were arrested in Brazil during Operation Purge. But the fight isn’t over. Volunteer. Donate. Share. Every action helps protect children and stop abuse. Join us!
