CRC Technology Uncovers 10-Year Pattern of Child Exploitation

  • January 11, 2011

A joint investigation by three law enforcement agencies and CRC Technology led to the arrest of Paul Long, a Casa Grande resident, on 10 counts of alleged sexual exploitation of a minor.

The case began in November 2010 when authorities discovered someone had used an unsecured Wi-Fi connection at the DVD and Game Depot in Maricopa to access child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Investigators from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Maricopa Police Department, and Apache Junction Police Department, with assistance from CRC Technology, traced the activity to Long.

Long was arrested Thursday at the store. Authorities seized a computer and searched his Casa Grande home, uncovering explicit images of minors. During questioning, Long allegedly admitted to viewing such content for the past 10 years.
