Bloomington Man Arrested for CSAM Possession with Assistance from CRC Technology

A Bloomington, Indiana man was arrested for possession of CSAM with the assistance of CRC Technology. Members of the Indiana State Police’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit and the ICAC Task Force arrested Robert J. Scanlon Jr., age 54, on Monday, April 14th, following the execution of a residential search warrant.
Detective Robert Whyte initiated the investigation in March 2025. Scanlon has been booked on the following charges:
- 5 counts of Possession of CSAM (under age of 12), a Level 5 Felony.
