34-Year-Old Arrested for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material with Crucial Aid from CRC Technology

March 22, 2025 – As part of a complex operation coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of L’Aquila, the State Police arrested a 34-year-old man from the province of Chieti in flagrante delicto for possession of child sexual abuse material. The investigation was significantly supported CRC Technology.

The investigation began when the National Center for the Contrast to Online Child Pornography (CNCPO) received a report through international police cooperation. The report flagged accounts in Italy that were used to purchase child sexual abuse material from a family living in Ukraine, which depicted explicit images involving the family’s minor daughter.

Because of CRC’s Technology, law enforcement was able to investigate and arrest the predator. During the search, investigators uncovered over 2,200 files, including photos and videos of minors—some very young—engaged in explicit acts. The search also led to the seizure of two smartphones, one pendrive, and one laptop containing 500 gigabytes of child sexual abuse material. CRC’s Technology was instrumental in helping law enforcement track and secure the evidence needed for the arrest.
