Senegalese School Director Arrested on Child Sexual Abuse Charges After CRC Technology-Aided Investigation

  • February 13, 2025

JP Weynachter, the 54-year-old French director of the Jacques Mimran school in Richard-Toll, is facing serious charges and is currently in custody. The case, which has been kept under strict confidentiality until now, dates back to November. Weynachter has been accused of serious crimes related to child sexual abuse.

The investigation began when experts from the Special Cybercrime Division were monitoring websites involved in sharing child sexual abuse material. They traced a highly active IP address to Richard-Toll. This led to the identification of Weynachter, who serves as the head of both the primary and secondary schools in the Cité des cadres, located within the Senegalese Sugar Company. Authorities then discovered disturbing material on Weynachter’s phone. Weynachter has denied the charges

Tom Farrel, Director of Core Technology and Academia with CRC commented, “In 2025 CRC will continue to develop partnerships with countries throughout Africa to provide our tools and support to help law enforcement identify and arrest dangerous offenders and protect children from harm. We would like to thank the French National Police OFMIN Department and The International Cooperation Directorate for training the Senegalese officers to make use of our free technology. This offender would have remained unidentified without this vital cooperation.”
