4 Arrested – CRC Technology Drives Success in Bologna Police Operation Against Child Sexual Abuse Material

January 25, 2025 – As part of the State Police’s ongoing efforts to protect minors, the Operations Center for Cyber Security of Bologna has successfully concluded an operation targeting online child sexual abuse material across the Emilia region. The operation led to the arrest of four individuals caught in the act and the reporting of three others at large for the distribution and possession of child sexual abuse material.
Search warrants for both personal and computer searches, issued by the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Bologna, were executed by the Operations Center for Cyber Security of Bologna. This operation was carried out in collaboration with provincial sections from Piacenza, Parma, Modena, Reggio Emilia, Ravenna, and Rimini with the help of CRC Technology.
The arrested individuals, aged between 50 and 60, include two IT professionals, four employees, and one entrepreneur. The criminal proceedings are currently in the preliminary investigation phase.
