A 33-year-old man was recently arrested in Santa Maria, Brazil for sharing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The investigation conducted by the Special Police Station for the Repression of Cyber ​​Crimes (DRCC) resulted in the seizure of 150 gigabytes of CSAM (approximately 1,700 files). The teams’ attention was also drawn to the large number of children’s dolls distributed in different rooms of the suspect’s residence. Police officers believe that the criminal used toys to lure children in order to send videos of sexual content.

“The use of infantilized dolls is a known technique to attract children on the internet. However, the PCDF had never arrested, in the Federal District, a suspect who acted in this way. Another fact to be clarified is whether people connected to the investigation, who are equally fond of infantilized dolls, would also be using this instrument to attract minors”, the organization said.

The investigation continues. Initially, the forecast is that the suspect will be charged for the crimes of storage and sharing of material linked to child sexual abuse, and may receive a sentence of four to 10 years in prison.
